I had a m5a78 board and it was adequate for a super budget system. It eventually died when I was running a fairly reasonable overclock tuning. I replaced it with a m5a88-m and am much happier with the new model. For the extra $30 or so, you get a better chipset, sata 6mb/s compatibility, usb 3.0, and still keep the matx size.

i would probably get this, same budget but adds 2 usb 3.0 in the rear and a usb 3.0 internal header
