Yeah Rolli59 is correct you can't fit that chip.

However the board does take the full range of Phenom II X6 processors. If you can find one something like a 1090 or 1100T would be better than that FX chip anyway.

True. But a 1090T or 1100T will be a bit pricey. What's your budget?

well i'm looking to spend around £60 on the cpu as the bios has a lot of over clocking features i'm looking for the best one for over clocking keeping the price down and the performance hi

In That case I'd recommend looking for a Phenom II 960 T. It's a quad core, however it's built from the more expensive 6 core Thuban die. If you've got a good motherboard you might be able to unlock it to a 6 core (I set one up for a friend and it successfully unlocked to a 3ghz 6 core). I've had a quick look on Google shopping they look to cost about £80. Alternatively you could also look at one of the various Phenom II X4 black edition parts like a 955 or 965 however the parts without the 'T' at the end are physically quad cores so there won't be the chance to unlock them (you can overclock them though).

Your main issue is that AMD stopped producing the Phenom II a year or so ago, so it's probably going to be a buy it of ebay type thing. In terms of performance though a Phenom II X4 or X6 is pretty much as fast as the current FX chips so it would make sense to get one if you can.
