Fx 4300 and ASrock 970M Pro3

Hi there im getting offered a swap for my i5 2400s for an AMD Fx 4300 and an ASrock 970M Pro3 motherboard, should i take the swap ill be doing editing and gaming on the system, is it worth it ?

But if i were to take this and say upgrade the cpu to an 8350 or something similar would i be better off doing that rather than buying a brand new lga 1150 board and a cpu to match as that would be my other option as i want to go 1150 rather than stick with the 1155, i am in no way disagreeing with the advice you have given me just would like to know what my best option is as im on a tight enough budget

No you would be better off with your current setup or 1150 , that board shouldn't have an 8 core 125w on it.

Believe me keep what you have or move on the 1150 or 1151.

Okay thanks for the advice man helps alot, ill save up now and get an 1150 board and a solid i5
