Some days ago i got a FX 6100, when i came home i mounted it to my Gigabyte 990FXA ud3, when i turned on the computer the PC booted and turned off, booted and turned off, when it went to the part of typing the password it allways go down, then i went to the BIOS and with some YouTube videos i turned on some settings i lowered my ram click etc etc etc
The max i go for my effort was typing my password enter my homescreen Open someting and reboot again, idk what the hell os this, but i tried a bit of everything, i checked my wires, changed ram position, used other GPU, etc
I sincerly ask tour help guys

From looking at the 5 different resisions
Cpu support list versus what bios shows

Rev 1 for phenom 3 different phenom cpu's shows bios f1.
For the fx6100 shows bios f3

On revision 1.2

Phenom shows bios FA
Fx6100 shows bios FB

On revision 3.0
Both CPU's bios FA

On revisions 4 and 4.1
Both cpu's show F2

You may have to put the phenom back in clearing cmos loading defaults boot up flash to new bios if different then what you have.
Shut down install the 6100 boot to bios and load defaults to get started.

You are seeing what i'm seeing except for the bios version that is on the mobo now.
Thats why i was saying you may need to reinstall the phenom and update the bios again then try the 6100 even though it's calling for the same bios for both cpu's.
Scratch Scratch OOOHHH that going to be a scab LO.
I have the Phenom and the FA BIOS on latter when i came home from work the FX Will be assembled
Thx for the help mate
