Swapped the HDD - samsung 160GB to WD 160 - WD 320 - And purchased a new Samsung 128 SSD witch is now running (tested all drives, all ok no errors)
Upgraded BIOS
Replaced PSU - Corsair CX600
Swapped out GFX Card ATI Radeon SLI HD 5750 - ATI Radeon 7550 (moved the 5750 to my wife's computer which it works fine in)
and I've RMA'ed the motherboard just installed it.

I rebuilt my system to turn it on and have the error appear after about 10 mins.

I'm currently running on a borrowed phenom II with no problems, no freezing or anything everything is happy as can be as a pea in a pod.

note: I never even got to OC the FX 6100. I've had odd issues since it was Unboxed...

addition - It HATES STEAM

If anyone has an insite on this it would be awesome. I would prefer it to be a simple *change setting* than RMA, but i've ruled EVERYTHING out at this point...

Its the CPU then, if you've tested everything else. Toss it mate. Recommend a new 8320.

But you want an easy fix (kids these days 😛). Can you access the bios? If so, have a look around and then let us know what you see. Might be a setup error. And before you get your hopes up, it is more likely a CPU issue.

Definitely sounds like a defective 6100. If it runs fine with nothing but a different CPU, it's gotta be the CPU, or at least a compatibility issue, and everything is compatible. An 8320 would run great, and isn't too expensive.

I haven't Overclocked since you could pencil out a pin on the CPU(graphite makes a great non conductor). I can access the BIOS, its all default settings. The Rig is up and running fine with the Phenom II. I'm guessing sine no one has seen this problem (it's no where on Google) its the Proc i just happened to get a bad one.

Sabertooth Tuf Series 990FX and FX Bulldozers are compatible the memory as well.

Thankfully its still within the warranty period. I bought it December 2011, I've been having issues since 6 months in. AMD has a good 3 year warranty, so I'll go through the process and ship it back.
