I've been wondering for a long time if the temperatures showing up on HWmonitor are average or too high.

My FX 6100 runs at about 45 degrees idle and goes up to about 55 degrees when put under pressure (Such as playing Arma 3). This is also when the processor speed is set to 3.0GHz and can go to 3.3GHz but I never put it there because I feel things get too hot, I have a stock cooler and I am going to buy an aftermarket cooler soon to make sure I can play on 3.3GHz without worrying about temps.

I just wanted to know the Dangerous temperatures of the AMD FX-6100 and what sort of temperatures it should be at while put under pressure.

You should be fine unless you pass 60 C. Max temperature is 70 C.

What are your room temperatures?
For idle, 45 C is pretty high, but the while under load temperature of 55 C is fine.
Do you have good airflow in your case?

I was thinking of getting a TX3 Hyper EVO Cooler. But if you think 55C is ok while under load then I should be ok as Arma 3 basically puts my CPU under the most amount of pressure possible. When i put it up to 3.3GHz and play Arma 3 It boosts up to around 65C which i thought was way too high, am I right?
