I want a FX cpu, but cant decide between the 6300, 6350, or 8320.
Things to Note:I do not plan to overclock.
The medium need I want out of my computer is to have 40 google chrome/ firefox tabs open while watching 720p Youtube videos and listening to music on win music player whilst playing tf2 on my personal configuration. During this usage, I would like my cpu to not exceed 90%.

I would be glad to be able to watch 720p Youtube videos by itself a long with 4 Chrome tabs, but the latter is my goal.

Currently I use AMD- E-350 which can run tf2 and windows music player and 1 chrome tab at 100% CPU usage and TF2 is configurated to show almost nothing but boxes and colors and designs to get above 10 fps usually.

6300 is perfect for your needs. I use an overclocked 8320 and am able to do hd video editing, 1080p streaming, gaming etc., all at the same time. The 6 core is more than capable of almost achieving this. You can get the 6300 for about $109 compared to the 6350 for about $130.

If you're not going to overclock, then I would recommend the FX-6350 out of those options. It's identical to an FX-6300 but overclocked to a stable amount from the factory, so basically just extra performance.

Personally I wouldn't go AM3+ now due to the high heat and power requirements, and the fact the socket is no longer supported. AM3+ is even primarily aimed at overclockers. But if you're already going AM3+, then I'd recommend the FX-6350. The FX-6300 is fine as well, but more aimed at people who plan to overclock on their own.

It's worth noting that if you have to keep TF2 at that low of settings, your CPU may not be the only thing limiting you.

Since when was AM3+ Unsupported??

Since Q4 of 2013.

This is for AM3 alone not AM3+. AM3+ Will still support AM4 cpu when they are released so no problem there.

Nope, AM3 and AM3+ are both not scheduled for any more releases after one or two more Steamroller CPUs, and the Steamroller architecture itself is out of date.

By unsupported you mean its not being developed anymore right ? Im really excited to see what AM4 holds ;3

Yeah, of course. They still work fine. I just wouldn't buy a new motherboard with an AM3+ socket given a choice for a new build, as one upgrade later you'd be looking at replacing the motherboard as well as the CPU. I actually use an AM3 socket now, which I've had for 4-5 years.

I'm hoping AMD gets their power consumption and heat down a bit in their newer CPUs. The jaguar CPUs on the AM1 socket are a step in the right direction in that regard, but unfortunately too weak to be used for serious games.
