Hello,

I am planing on building a rig mostly for gaming and since i am on a budget i have a big decision to make:
fx6300 and gigabyte 7950 or 3570s and gygabye 7870 @ 1100mhz stock. I am not a big fan of OC`ing and i am not planing on doing it, that`s why i`d go fo the 3570s instead of the K version. I will be playing only 1 display at 1080. Also i know that the GPU will influence the gaming performances more than the CPU, but will the difference in no game applications(Maya, Photoshop, After Effects, Premiere) be so noticeable that i will regret going for the slower CPU? Thanks.

i would go with the 3570 and the 7870, the intel cpu might make a big difference in the applications you have mentioned, and the 7870 will max(40-60fps) most games at med-high graphics, it is the equivalent of a gtx660/660ti

If you're doing a lot of CPU intensive work, then definetly go for the Core i5.The upgrade in CPU speed will be very noticable (around 40%) and you will see the same gaming performance because the CPU also has an effect on FPS.

So yes... the Core i5 + 7870 is the better choice. (unless you're going to overclock in which case the FX + 7950 combo will take my reccomendation)

I agree completely, the 7950 OCs Like a BEAST... if you feel safe overclocking it.
