fx 6300 and new GPU

I have a fx 6300 o/ced to 4.6 Ghz and i love it BTW and currently im running 2 gtx 960's 2gb SSC with 16 gb RAM on a MSI 970 gaming motherboard. been a great setup but im wondering what latest GPU would team up best with this setup. would any BIOS settings help the CPU run better with a 10 series GPU. Been wanting to get a 1070 but hesitant to spend the money if it will ultimately give me problems. What do you guys think?

This video uses a 6300/480 combo in testing, the 480 is comparable to a 1060. It also shows a 6300/980ti combo, so you can see what difference an even more powerful GPU makes. My take is a 1060 is pretty much the best cost to performance sweet spot, but you can see for yourself what you think.
