I have an FX-6300, OC'd to 4.1GHz, and am wondering if It will bottleneck a dual R9 270 setup. I currently have 1 Asus R9 270, and am looking to add another.

I have to agree with Shadyhampster, you will see only minor improvement over 1 card with an X4 slot. Some games may even result in lower frame rates. Stay away from dual cards with the X4 slot. I speak from experience. I had dual HD 6850 in CF @ X16, X4. A bad experience.

I hate to be "that guy" but adding another R9 270 will get you only 30% improvement at most, you'll also have a hotter first card and frankly a lot of games are horribly unoptimized for crossfire so you'll end up switching off crossfire most of the time. I recommend selling off your R9 270 and get a 280x with the money you'll have then

I literally just bought the R9 270 on Friday, it has a 15 day direct in-store return/exchange policy. So My best solution would be to return this and exchange it for an R9 280 ? and forget about Crossfire, correct :) ?

Or Another route could be to replace my motherboard, and still go with 2 270's?
