I dont understand computers very well but somehow managed to build one. I have an AMD fx 6300. Everything has worked fine for over 6 months until recently my cpu started hitting high temps with stock HSF. It would idle around 45c and sometimes hit 70c while playing a game, it came with pre applied thermal paste, I decided I was going to apply new thermal paste. I removed the old stuff that was crusty and I applied arctic silver 5 and gave it a week. It was now hitting higher temps (77c) while playing tropico 4 and has shut off twice. I went into the bios and my cpu temp was at 45c, within 3 minutes it would be at 77c. I started my computer and checked HWM and it would idle around 40-45c and sometimes hit 70-80c while gaming, im guessing alot of this has to do with the stock HSF but now im getting readings in HWM of anywhere from 5-45c within seconds of each other. 5c seems impossible since my room is around 17-18c. Im going to get a Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO and install it within the week but thought i could come here and ask if anyone knows if it could be something else. The Heat sink fan is spinning,, I have 3 fans installed, 1 in front to push air in, 1 in back to pull air out and 1 on top to also pull air out, I have a GTX760 GPU, if anyone wants anymore info I will try to give it.

A very quick google search shows that alot of people had problems with this motherboard including it completely ruining the CPU. Thank you for the quick answer, I now know what I need to buy with my tax money.
