Simple quick question, i am building a new PC

CPU: AMD FX-6300 is what i was going to get heard a lot of good things about it, but i got an email from Newegg today about their labor day sales and the FX-8120 is on sale for just 10 dollars more than then the
FX-6300 .

6300 is $120
8120 with promo code $130

Thanks in advance :)

EDIT: Nevermind i found answers, i didnt see similar posts when i searched but the related ones showed me! :)

Solution
I have the FX6300 and it is a good CPU. I have it overclocked to 4.2Ghz, it terms of performance the FX6300 is a good 6 core (all unlocked) CPU however for a small price extra you can get the 8120 which has 8 unlocked cores and added performance. Personally I would get the FX8120 as it is futureproof for next gen gaes, you can overclock it to get similair performance to the 8320 and it does not cost that much. Obviously it is a more power consuming CPU but depending on your PSU it will be run fine.

The 6300 is a better value for money in terms of performance.
Of course 8120 if the price is almost the same (10 $ more expensive). It's faster, you can OC to 8350 level, but it consumes more power :/
But still if you can, pick 8120. You will feel the difference.
BTW what are other components, GPU?

The 6300 is the better way to go if you're gaming or for standard desktop use as it's single thread performance is higher. The FX-6300 uses less power, so it may overclock better than the FX-8120. If the Motherboard only allows 125W TDP, you may not be able to overclock the FX-8120 well. If you are doing work that will take advantage of the extra cores, the 8120 will be better, at the expense of using a lot more power. The boxed heatsync / fan that comes with the FX-6300 is better too if I recall correctly.

I have a FX-8120 and a FX-8350 and really with a good GPU they are not that far apart as far as performance. For $10 more I would go with the FX-8120. For one with the Fx-8120 you can OC it to 4GHz with just a multiplier overclock and with no need to OC the voltage at all. It would be well worth the extra $10.

Basically you should go with the FX6300 as it is the newer architecture (20% performance increase), some people may disagree with me but for value for money and performance boost in comparison with the bulldozer architecture (8120) the FX6300 is more efficient, better performance, has 6 unlocked cores and is very, very good for overclocking. I have it overclocked and it runs nice and cool on my H60, in game keeping at around 25-30 degrees. Obviously if you wanted a CPU which had 8 cores and performed better than the 6300 then the 8350 would be perfect but it consumes more watts and costs a lot more.

I hit 4.5 on stock voltage with my 6300 lol
