fx 6300 shows as a 3 core

Hello recently i bought some new parts and put it all together. it worked fine, i know that before windows resource monitor/taskmanager and cpu-z, everything was seeing 6 cores but now its only showing 3 cores and 3 threads. is there a fix for this. i disable the turbo mode for the cpu so it stays at 3.5ghz or lower with cool and quiet but as it stands now i have 2 cores and 1 parked.

Yeah I know it's 3 modules and 6 cores buy it shows as 3 cores and threads when before it showed as 6 cores and on a friends PC it shows as 6 cores and my PC is slower than yesturday

Yup that's normal.

Actually, the AMD FX-6300 only has 3 physical modules. But inside each physical module, there are 2 cores inside which share the same resources(same concept as intel's hyperthreading). So if you look it up using a software like task manager, you will see 3 cores / 6 logical cores.

I don't know if it's unlocked. When I first installed windows cpuz and task manager both showed 6 cores now they show 3 and like I said its going noticeably slower now.
