FX-6300 stock good?

I was wondering if the FX-6300 was good at stock.. I dont want to oc.. Im going to be buying a msi 970a mobo. Is this cpu any good for editing videos and gaming? Like cod and other good games.. Can it run in ultra settings?

Yes , the fx-6300 is a great and cheap solution for gaming and can do some rendering too.
Paired with a GTX 970,R9 380 or a R9 280X , would be a great choice for 1080p gaming , running almost every game at ultra settings.

It's lags a bit behind the 8350 and 8320 in CPU intensive task. For gaming it should be fine so long as it's paired with a good enough GPU.

the fx-6300 is good budget cpu but if it isnt overclocked it would lose the i3 for gaming, but for editing it would win. if you have windows 10, direct x12 will take advantage of the six cores.
