Hey guys! I have a fx 6300 non overclocked when the last the I played tf2 every once and a great while I get a temp spike to 54 or 55. When I run prime 95 I get to a max of 58 and an average of 57. When I play tf2 I rarely pass 49. sometimes I hit 50 for a few seconds. Those spikes cool down to normal gaming temps super fast though. It seems as if they cool down faster than it could possibly cool? I'm using core temp. Do you guys think these are false readings?

Those temps you have listed are fine nothing to worry about. but about false reading i have no idea. Is your CPU fan really loud when these temp spikes as you describe happen? i have an AMD FX 8350 and the highest it reaches on the stock cooler is 64*C. And try the program core temp it gives accurate readings http://www.alcpu.com/CoreTemp/
