So i just got my cooler master hyper evo 212 and i oced my fx 6300 to 4.5 ghz and 1.45 v
My mobo is a asrock 980 d3/u3s3 and i have a corsair vs series 550w .
My temps never exceeded 63c in the most demanding cpu games like ac syndicate or gta v but... If i try a prime95 test it crashes and the pc restarts .
It is normal? Like in games everything its fine but stress testing are crashing...

But in games i dont see a problem at all. On the cpu socket i have seen maximum 60c . I have checked how much voltage does my pc consumes with oc's and it stays at 480w out of 550..

how did you check power usage?

i probably have less oc experience than many, but if it works for games (or your normal use), it should be fine. if you start seeing system instability during any new games or computer uses, just back off your oc later on down the road. if you are giving it to a friend who doesn't understand oc and all that, restore clocks to normal first.

20 x multiplier , turbo off.

CPU voltage below 1.4v
Auto should put you 1.38-1.39v

Wouldn't do more than that ever on that board.

Read asrock disclaimer on the CPU support list
* For cooling the CPU and its surrounding components, please install a CPU cooler with a top-down blowing design.

A tower cooler on that board is a big no-no in my eyes.

4.5ghz with the voltage you're running is way too much for that board mate

Ok, i get it my mobo and psu sucks at oc, but like dataloc said in games i have no issues, no throttling, no crashes, no overheating, if someday the pc will crush during a game or normal usage i will set the stock clocks :)

given my recommendation above, i assume everyone that overclocks knows (especially if you aren't experienced) that you may be adding stress to your components and may be shortening their lifespan...depending on the amount of oc, your gains may be marginal. that said, it is fun to toy around with and get more out of your gear for just a little effort!

This is a photo with 4 ghz and 1.3875 v with prime 95 after 10 min.

^ that's acceptable if no cores failed in prime (can't see because you covered it up)

The PSU in all honesty doesn't concern me with only a gtx 950 in tow.

You could likely drop the voltage to 1.35 & change llc to high.
That'll give you lower temps under 50% CPU usage while maintaining stability at higher loads.

Or leave it as is if you're happy.

Enable cool & quiet if you have it disabled , there's no reason whatsoever not to.

nayrnayr1 - I agree with you but in all honesty with a 212 evo fitted CPU temps are not going to be a problem at all.
