So I decided to turn on the turbo boost for my fx 6300 and did a cinebench test with no throttling the CPU usage never went below 99 percent and I have a cooler master hyper 212 cooling it so everything seemed fine but I started a competitive match of csgo and saw my frames from time to time go from 200 to 60-70 and sometimes even lower but then when I press the esc key once or twice the fps goes back to normal I then disabled the turbo boost and then checked and everything worked fine. Does anyone know how to fix this I really wanted that 4ghz mark.

Solution
To get the fx6300 stable you have to turn off auto overclock, Turbo mode, and a host of power saving options in the BIOS; and manually over clock it.

I got mine to 5.1GHz, but to be honest it still wasnt as good at games as my much older Phenom 2 1090T @3.7GHz, and eventually I went back to the 1090.

It also pulled a LOT of power, needed a Vcore boost to near the very limit (I had to boost Southbridge voltage and some others) and produced insane amounts of heat that even my watercooler struggled with.

For now this CPU does just fine for 1080p gaming and btw gaming is all I do so this CPU does work I guess I will upgrade in 1,2 more years but what if the vrms are heating any solution for that?
