fx 6300 vs i5 6400streaming

i5 6400 will be better - but see if you can swing the 6500. The difference between being under 3 GHz and over 3 GHz is bigger than it looks.

An i3 6100 would be better than an FX 6300. So an i5 6400 is the obvious option.
