Good day,

I've been noticing lately that 1 core out of the 6 has been hitting a VERY high clock and I've got no idea if that's considered typical. During the previous boot, Core #0 went a bit over 5 GHz, and now, Core #1, went to 8 GHz!! Currently running @ 4219 MHz w/ Chrome running (~60 tabs open), Wordpad and two monitoring apps.

Besides downclocking it, I'd like to know if there has been anyone who has encounter such an issue before, what was its nature and how to lower the risk or simply fix it?

//Current Rig (Open Air Setup) =
GB 970A-DS3P motherboard;
AMD FX-6300 OC @ 4200 MHz w/ CM Hyper T4 Heatsink;
24GB DDR3-1866 Memory;
3x SSD + 1x HDD 1K RPM Storage;
EVGA 1060 3GB Graphic Card;
LG 29UM59-P, 2560x1080 @ 75Hz Monitor;
Windows 7 Pro x64;
CM 650W 80+ Gold Certified Semi-Modular PSU;
ASUS Xonar DGX Audio Card

PS : I'm not interested in buying a whole new system right away, or a brand new piece-- I'd rather go with an used FX-83XX CPU, if you'd know anyone in Canada, I'll be happy to know; Thanks!

This issue has begun about 2 weeks ago, and the processor has been oc'd since about 2 years now. I'll give it a try by dropping it to 4100 instead.
