Which would provide more FPS IN GTA V and Star Wars Battlefront?

i3 is a faster then the fx. plus you will be able to upgrade the cpu in the future. the fx is a dead end(and I have a fx8350 so take that into consideration)

There is no good reason to buy into the AM3+ platform (the FX line) today. The last architecture upgrade it got was back in 2012.
The core i3 will outpace it in gaming and most any other task. The only thing the 6350 would win at is something like video editing where more cores=win.

Much much better to spend the money on intel skylake then a cpu (and supporting hardware) from 2012.

The i3 alongside the RX 480 would be better performance for value. The FX-6350 just seems to lack power that games such as GTA V are looking for. The FX-6350 would be able to run GTA V decently however I see the I3-6100 as much more overpowering especially with the greater overclocking ability.
