Ok i know this quiestion has been asked many times. I know the answer

But. Right now i can get the FX 8120 for 60€ cheaper than the i5 2500k (trying to build an extreme budget PC because of finance problems)....So what do you guyz think....is getting the FX 8120 a smart choice?

Not really no, I really cant see bulldozer being all that good so if you go with an amd chip you are limited with upgrading, The i5 is better and as it is socket 1155 you can upgrade to ivybridge later on, even though you wouldnt need to

man everybody does things with problem im mind, get the fx8120 if u simpli want it u wont regret your choise look this...

OP you like starting fanboy flame wars much LOL.

lol no xD
i ordered the fx 8120 a few days ago (it hasnt arrived yet). But after seeing some posts and benchmarks i feel like i've made a bad decision...

being a little less per core (gaming in mind) is only a slight "-". The AMD price point for for CPU + motherboard is much lower and value for investment is much better. One thing that was a major selling point for me was the software. CCC and Overdrive, X16 lanes per GPU is a bonus. All 6gb/sec on 990FX chip set. I like my high detail gaming; don't get me wrong. i know that Z68 + I5 will give a bit more FPS but daily use and 50 - 60 FPS and half the time on par or greater performance I find the 8120 a real winner.
