Hello all,
I was wondering if I need a new GPU to expect better performance from my games.I was thinking about purchasing an RX 480.
My system specs:
Hyper 212 Evo Cpu Cooler
NZXT H440 Tower
16GB Of Anarchy (I believe) 1866hz Memory (2x8gb) (DDR3)
Biostar ta970 Motherboard
R9 270x XFX 2GB stock
FX 8310 (Overclocked to 3.6)
And some other hardware like a WD Blue 1TB 7200rpm HDD. And a 1TB Hybrid Drive from... segate I think.
GPU Usage was always around 94-98% (In MSI Afterburner)
Fan speeds @stock (45%)
CSGO Benchmarks
I dont particularly know if these benchmarks and fps scores will mean anything because I played offline w/ no bots so no players or entities which improves the framerate greatly.
Framerates:
3840x2160 (Min:14, Avg:18, Max:22)
2560x1440 (Min:39, Avg:47, Max:54)
1920x1080 (Min:54, Avg:74, Max:98)
1280x720 (Min:114, Avg:138, Max:170)
Again this is without players or any entities.
In actual competitive games on servers on my competitive resolution (1024x768) I would get around 45-55fps on average in actual competitive games on servers. (Framerate benchmarks are similar to 720p respectively)
If I can find some of my heavenbench or 3dmark scores I'll be sure to include them if they're of any value.
I would just like to know what I could do to improve my framerate in games.
Oh by the way benchmarks were done on these settings:
(Global Shadow Quality: High)
(Model/Texture Detail: High)
(Effect Detail: High)
(Shader Detail: Very High)
(Multicore Rendering: Enabled)
(8x MSAA)
(Anisotropic 4x)
No V-sync Obviously.
Any help to improve my framerate is appreciated and please let me know if buying a card such as an RX 480 would help (or similar performing cards I suppose)
Thanks, - Tae.
