Fx 8320 being throttled?

Is my cpu being throttled? I know temp isn't an issue. It used to run fine at 4.5Ghz but now my games are chopping all of a sudden and cpuz is saying that its at a constant 1.4ghz. I never had an issue until I updated my bios, (I think i did).

If you're not doing anything intensive then yes, it's "throttling", to save power, and if you use the stock coolers, save your ears as well.

What's your voltage overclocked?

What cooler are you using?

Your motherboard isn't suited for overclocking the FX-8320, and almost not suited for running it at stock. Consider having a fan cool down the VRM, or lower the voltage to avoid throttling.
