Hi,

I am seriously doubting about which graphics card I should purchase.

I am doubting between the MSI RX 480 4GB version, and the GTX 1060 3GB version.

I have read a bunch of reviews and have seen a lot of benchmarks of the 2 cards. And I also saw that the 1060 may be bottlenecked by my CPU. Which is a FX 8320 stock speed.

The price is not that big of a deal.
Can someone clear it up for me on which GPU I should buy.

Mostly I play action/adventure games such as GTA 5, Battlefield and The Division, and last but not least Forza Horizon 3.

Thanks in advance.

Them benchmarks are for the RX 480 8gb though, which is faster than the 4gb.

I haven't found any benchmarks where they tested an actual 4GB version of the RX 480). I know that Techspot did a BIOS fix to limit their 8GB model to only use 4GB of VRAM, & there was no change in the performance. Unlike the GTX 1060, where the 3GB model also has some CUDA cores disabled, the only difference between the 4GB & 8GB models of the RX 480 is supposed to be the VRAM. Techspot seems to think that the extra VRAM on the 8GB model is wasted; not sure if they're 100% correct, if it's maybe just not as useful right now are there aren't that many games that are at the RX 480's processing level while also needing that much VRAM, or if VRAM was cheap enough that they added it for a marketing gimmick.
