i am building a new gaming pc i want to know about what is the performance difference in fx 8320 and fx 9370 if fx 8320 can be overclocked to
4.5 ghz then it will give same performance as fx 9370
Short answer...yes..
Long answer? the 9370 is usually picked from a better batch of silicon so O.C.ing it will yield better results...
That said the 8320 is still a way better value.
The only real difference between the two is the 9370 will run 4.5 ghz 100% of the time, the same can NOT be said for 8320s, most can be OCed but there is no guarantee of OC results.

People needs to stop spreading this lie. I have both and if you look at the benchmarks the 9370 has 1000k higher physics scores in cinebench and stronger single core performance that is huge in games and you can feel it. You wonder why the intel stuff makes amd look so bad in games that is why. I overclocked my cpu to 4.8 and it still runs BF4 and wow with lots of frame spikes where it drops from 60 fps down to 25. After i upgraded to the 9370 that all went away all the games i have play smooth now with no frame drops. In battlefield 4 and world of warcraft i see the biggest improvements. In multiplayer 64 player battlefield the frame drops came in allot and my fps would drop to 25 fps ofen in high physics areas. Now my game never drops below 90 fps. In world of warcraft a very cpu bound game that loves intel cpu's my frames would drop to 30 fps in high pop areas and 60 everywhere else. With the new 9370 i just bough i see 160 fps in most areas its a totally diffrent game now. And in battlefield the ingame benchmark shows my cpu does not spike off the chart anymore.
