FX 8320 OC issues, PLEASE HELP

Hey guys, Hopefully this community can help me out here. Whenever I use catalyst control center to do a CPU overdrive I get the processor clocked to about 4.5ghz safely doing the auto-tune & when I run it overclocked it shows in speccy running OC'd & when I go into a game with bandicam on I will get say 10fps higher but my frames will be super unstable jumping ALL over the place like 40-80-70-40-30 very unstable, What is happening here ?

I am new to this hole overclocking thing.

When I dont overclock it, It is stable @ 60fps doesnt budge. But as soon as its overclocked I will get drastic FPS spikes.

Why is this happening ?

Check your temps since it may be overheating and throttling when it drops down!

Ok, I will do that. But I dont really get a chance to even game. I will apply the OC settings, Check speccy the temp & core speed check out, Then as soon as I open up bandi cam & try to go into a game, Even on a login screen for a MMO like infestation survivor stories, Or Tera, Any login screen bandicam will register a very erradic FPS it will go everyware up & down all over.

But if the CPU is not overclocked, It is always a solid stable number. I dont think it could be Temp as I said, It does it on the login manager before you are even in game.

Would this be happening if my PSU is not powerful enough to handle the OC settings ?
