I OCd my 8320 to 4.4 at a voltage of 1.2875 (It shows at 1.332 in AIDA 64) on a M5A99FX PRO board with an EVO 212 for cooling.

The OC is stable for two hours now in prime and I plan on running prime for a few more hours probably, but my question is in regards to the temps.

For the majority of the time the temps are pretty mild with a socket temp of about 68 and a Core temp of about 56 BUT, every time one of the tests is about to be done and the next one about to start the temps shoot up to 72 for socket and 60 for core, then they subside back down.

Im guessing those are the most demanding periods in prime95 tests but I'm wondering if these temps are too high, considering that for most of the test they don't go anywhere near this hot.

Solution
My FX 8350 at 4.5 GHz on 1.375v would peak ~57-60c under 100% load with AMD Overdrive stress testing. this was under a Hyper 212 EVO at max fan speed. Your temps sund a little too high.

If temps are spiking at the start of a test your fan might be set too low on the PWM curve.

Set it to run at 100% all the time while stress testing. Use a medium setting for 24x7 use.
