fx 8320 problems help

My fx 8320 build is new but I'm getting worried because it seems to get a little hot when I game I have copatibile parts but when I play bioshock it seem to get hot and the case gets pretty warm where the processed is and it gives off a smell from the processor that I can't really describe and I'm if this matters but it's not overclocked but it runs at like 3.80 to 4.00 ghz when I game

the stock speed of the FX 8320 is 3.5, the turbo is then enable, i sugest you to check the cpu cooler and look for dust, and lower the voltage from the cpu, as the FX boards are setup with really high voltages from factory

You can disable Turbo Core in the BIOS, or through AMD Overdrive. Also it's worth getting an aftermarket cooler like the Hyper 212 Evo, for better temps and longer lifetime of the chip.
