Hi ,
My CPU temp goes upto 80C while playing GTA 5 and it shuts down my PC instantly.
And at idle without playing GTA it stays at 50-60. Donno wts wrong , it wasnt like tat before while playing GTA 5. Used to stay around 65 while playing.

Solution
So yeah, ill just leave this here for you.

Max safe core temp recommended by AMD is 62 degrees celsius.
maximum socket temperature is 70 degrees celsius.
its best to keep the core temperature under 55 degrees though to keep the lifetime longer

Steps to take

Make sure fan is working on heatsink, if it is clean heatsink. Still high temps, remove heatsink, clean cpu and heatsink with 70% or better alcohol. reapply thermal past and see where temps are at.

if everything fails replace heatsink with better one.

That doesn't feel right at all, your CPU shouldn't have that much of a load, much less be that hot while idle. Make sure your entire unit is getting good ventilation. If a fan picked up some dust bunnies, clean em up! Second I think Azrael is right, the thermal paste might not have been applied well. Below is a youtube link to how to apply (a card is the best way!) Last while you are applying the thermal paste, give that CPU fan a quick hose down with some canned air!
