I know this is probably a common question around here with the release of 6th gen cpus by intel, but heres my build so I want non intel/amd fanboy responses if I would benefit for gaming from going from my current cpu to a 6600k(with a mobo upgrade and probably ddr4 as well) :
CPU: FX 8320 @ 4 ghz w/CM TX3 Air Cooler
GPU:AMD R9 380 Sapphire Nitro
PSU:Corsair 750w 80+ Platinum
Mobo:ASUS m5a78l-m/usb3
RAM:2x4 GB Kingston HyperX Blu DDR3 1600
SSD: EVO 850 250GB
OS: Windows 10 x64
Monitor: ASUS ve(something) 60hz
Case: InWin Atx Midtower (Dont know exact model)
Thanks!

If you can wait, wait for the new AMD CPUS's. If you are like me, and can't control yourself, then it is a pretty decent upgrade. But don't forget, that the GPU is *almost* always more important.

I was able to get free RAM, when I went for the 6700k, but maybe look for the 6500 (or 6600, not sure) and those boards where you can still OC it.

Only heard this after buying a k, so I didn't search it. But what I've read and heard was that the most important thing is the mobo. Paul's Hardware made a video about it. Didn't saw it though. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HK94qZLW1VI

Another guide I've found: http://overclocking.guide/overclocking-non-k-intel-skylake-cpus-performance-tests/

if it gaming you are asking for. use the money on a video card. which i see that your is an alright one. so the answer to your question is no. you won't know much differ once you "upgrade" to the i5. by the way. a 60hz monitor = 60fps is what you get even if your computer give out 120 fps. you wont be able to see 120 on a 60hz monitor. and by the way. are you using an MSI mobo or an Asus mobo?
so in your case. are you using a SSD harddrive? if not go upgrade that first than think of an cpu later. in your case beside the SSD 1st thing to upgrade should be your monitor than video card (crossfire/sli), than cpu/mobo, than ram.
think of it as 1 cpu 1 gpu (video card) you won't see any different. 1 cpu 2 gpu (high end gpu) you may see a small to mid differ on fps depend on your setup.
