Alright, So i recently upgraded my computer a bit.

Heres what I am running:
ASRock extreme 4 970
GTX 970 G1 Gaming Edition
2x8GB Corsair Ballistix DDR3 1866
EVGA Supernova G2 750W
Corsair R300 Carbide
1TB Seagate Barracuda

Every game I run performs amazing. BF4/ Crysis 3/ Far Cry 3.... Everything maxed out I am getting 50-100 fps all the time. However I do notice at some points after playing for several hours my average CPU temp will be in the higher 50s, and even up into the mid 60s while in games (For several hours straight)

I know this temperature is still within the "Safe Threshold" but at the same time I feel like it could be running cooler.

The sales guy at microcenter pointed out a Coolermaster Fan for 30$ that he said would help me.

Any tips/suggestions? I am not trying to spend more than 40$ for this. Or am I just being overly concerned?

Ok, so I checked temps under load using AMD Overdrive(Was using HWMonitor before which I understand is not good for reading under load) - monitoring the thermal margin. While playing Battlefield 4 for several hours straight. The thermal margin was sitting at 8-11 degrees celcius. I do have some Arctic silver thermal paste I have applied to it when I bought it rather than what it came with.

My question: When upgrading to the Cooler master hyper evo 212 that was mentioned above.

Do i need to worry about fit? Is this the same size as the stock fan that this comes with?(Was reading that some fans are larger and run into the RAM sometimes)

Also, how much of a decrease in temp will I notice? A few degree difference, or a significant change?

How easy is installation? I have never put any after market cooling in my computers up until this point. I need to know if the installation is simply the same as any other processor fan or is it different? Do I apply thermal paste (I believe the answer is yes, just like to confirm)

Thank you for any input, Hopefully I can pick something up tonight at microcenter.

Because the 8320 and 8350 tend to be unstable with that board.

They aren't listed as support list on the site.

What are your suggestions if my PC is running stable with that board and processor? I just upgraded a ton of stuff and really dont want to swap the MOBO (Especially since its working great).

At first with my other PSU it was running unstable. But after a PSU upgrade it has been running perfectly.

Will definitely keep that in mind. Good to know if I do run into any issues.

And honestly I could upgrade my Mobo, but if its working fine I dont see any need at the current moment.

But back to the CPU cooling...
