FX 8350. Is it worth upgrading?

Hello!

I have a FX 8120 bulldozer cpu installed in my system, which has a 4.0ghz oc.

Would it be worth while upgrading to the FX 8350? I believe much higher oc's are possible & it has a better CPU architecture?

Hardly worth it and you will have to have a good motherboard for it.

I'd wait another year and milk that one for all you got. Could you do better? yes. but should you scrap it? no. Focus on other components and when that is done come back to the 8120 for review.

If you are feeling the itch, the 95w FX-8320E (or, FX-8370E if you really want to scratch) would be your best move, and you will definitely blow past 4GHz with either one of those.

Do you feel the need for more CPU in what you are doing? Vishera is a definite improvement over Zambezi but as noted its impact may be marginal if you don't really need the extra boost or 'snappiness'
