[SOLVED] FX 8350 oc from 4 to 4.5 makes games freeze and lag time to time.

Hi there wanted to juice out of my cheap system more and oc CPU to 4.5ghz .
Temps in games are ok arround 40-46c
Video Card Asus gtx 1060 6gb
PSU Gigabyte B700H
Board asrock 990fx extreme 3
4x8GB Ram 1866mhz
5 case coolers + combo cooler for CPU antec 360
So after cpu overclock games started to freeze and lag time to time .
I don't play anything major . Some cego mm ( arround 80-110 FPS without oc ) and 150 - 170 with oc.

Some online mmorpg games - the same story game just freezes or lags for certain time and then comes back.

What can I do about it?

Yup up to 1.48

Try multiplier at 22.5 and voltage at 1.3

Many people have problems running that CPU at stock on that board let alone overclocked because of bad VRM design. Many posts in this forum previously and note the red asterix here https://www.asrock.com/mb/AMD/990FX Extreme3/#CPU

Revert back to stock clocks since it worked there.

AMD is the better value today and their 2000 series CPU's are going cheap after the 3000 series release.

Big difference you should be able to sell your current ram to make the difference over your budget.
