I recently installed the fx8350 into my system and it seems to only be using 2 of the 8 cores. Is there any reason to this or any way to fix it?

Solution
I assume you used to have a quad in there before?

Start > Run > Msconfig > Boot tab > Advanced Options > What does number of processors say? Uncheck the box or set it to 8.

Thanks for the response, when I got there the box was unchecked.

CPU: AMD FX8350

That's a very low end motherboard, I'm surprised it works at all.

If you have the Rev 4.1 board, you need the F3 bios to make that work. If you have the older F1 bios you need a bios update. I'd check to see what bios you have. If you have the Rev 5 or 6 board it looks like it should work with any bios. (F2 or FA.)
