Hi, i'm currently using the Gigabyte 990FXA-UD3 motherboard.

This is the cheapest version avaliable.
I've manged to overclock to 4.40ghz on air cooling and it seems stable. but i can i go to 5ghz if i get the proper cooling?

Basicly will the motherboard have any impact on high overclocks?

Solution
Yes the motherboard will have an impact. The 990FXA-UD3 is a decent board. I tried a few 8320's with it. The VRMs get extremely hot. You will have to find a way to get a fan mounted on them to help out, otherwise they get too hot and causes instability. 5GHz is doable but it really depends on the chip.
