FX 8350 upgrade issue

So I've been using my Fx8150 for about 5 years now and my cousin wants me to build him a new PC anyways so I thought I should upgrade to FX8350 and give him my 8150.

I got and installed the 8350 today and the first thing I did was to try out my games... CSGO and GTAV to be specific but now I am having stuttering or low fps issues on both games.

With my 8150 I usually get 50-70fps on GTA V and 120-200fps on CSGO.
With 8350 I get around 31fps on GTA V and 70fps on CSGO and the stutter is very obvious.
**None of my video settings were changed**

I read online that it could be the temperature so I opened up my Core Temp(not sure how reliable it is)

The reading is giving me CPU #0 16-19 celcius... I have a decent water cooler and its already getting cold outside but even then my FX8150 were always around 30 celcius idle even with my window open.

Im also not sure if its important but the Tj. Max is 80 celcius.

I'd really appreciate any solution!

Do you have the latest BIOS? Is the CPU running at 4 GHz (or higher if you've OCed it? Was the 8150 OCed?

I am not sure if I have the latest bios... I am kinda scared to update cuz thats what caused my first mobo to die...

I am not sure how I can determine if it is running at 4 GHz but under system properties shows AMD FX8350 4.00GHZ as my processor

And I do not overclock so no for both CPUs

Might be the BIOS, might check with friends for help in updating the BIOS, it use to be a real pain, but the last few years have been good, I update the BIOS on at least 2-3 rigs a month and haven't had one brick for about 4 or more years

Thank you, I will consider it...

Its just that the last time I did which was less than 2 years ago my PC never turned back on and I did that whole CMOS and other stuff and even sent it to repair shop but there was nothing they can do.

Im still open for other suggestions though...

So I checked the bios for my mobo and the only version above it is for the better keyboard compatibility... I don't think it will help even if I updated it but please correct me if Im wrong I still dont understand a whole lot.

I think I fixed it, and no bios update necessary.

My games are running how they should be and this is what I did.

basically changed my number of processors from 1 to 8 then unchecked the number of processors again then restart!
