Fx 8370 and RX 480?

Hi just asking if an fx 8370 will go well with an RX 480 or if I should get a cheaper GPU and a better cpu. I am planning to buy the parts soon. These are my planned specs
8gb ram
500 w PSU
Asus am4 mobo

Given that the Ryzen R5 is due out April 11th and will start at $169. I'd wait it out.

Please do not get an FX**** processor. Don't let the high cores and low price fool you.
If you are willing to spend $10 more on your CPU, you can get an i5-6500 and pair it with a 480 with no issues.

The FX series won't fit an AM4 board. Also end of life and a bad choice.

Avoid FX lines at this point. Dead platform, outdated performance. Go with a skylake/kabylake i5/i7 or Ryzen r5/r7. The performance will be much better and better futureproofed.

The 8370 is not a good buy and will not work in an AM4 motherboard anyway. With AM4 you'll need a Ryzen CPU, which are alot better than the old FX CPUs.

Thanks for the help also am4 was a typo I meant am3 I'll probably get a ryzen or a i5 6500 ☺☺☺☺☺
