So i want to know if fx 8370 is going to bottleneck gtx 970. Im looking for good upgrade from my current buil amd sempron 2800+ radeon 9550 1gb ram 😀 dont smile. DONT Sugest intel cpu-s i dont have money from them and i prefer amd cpu. So will they bottleneck. And also want to know will i get
solid fps in single threaded games with fx 8370 and gtx 970 on ultra settings. First i want to pass games like alan wake, la noire, resident evil 6.... So will they perform well together on 1080p ultra settings at decent fps?

Solution
Well if you have money for that FX-8370 then you have money for an i5...

Anyways, there will be a slight bottleneck but not really an issue.

Solid FPS in single threaded games....... that's the main reason to go with Intel, still, it should be ok with that FX.

Just make sure to invest in a nice cooler for that CPU, FX chips get hot very easily.

Then if you want an FX series you will need a new motherboard. I know what you said, don't suggest Intel.

I am a huge AMD fan. I have roughly 6 PC's and 4 of them are AMD. BUT, if you don't want to overclock then you really should get an i5. If you want us to explain why then we will, but it's true. An i5-4460 and an inexpensive motherboard is going to perform better than the FX.

Up until this year I said that the FX 8300 series and an i5 were a trade off and both would make you happy, but AMD has been milking the same architecture with a new name for the last 3 years and that's not cool.
