So as a few people may know, the new forza horizon 4 will be coming out soon in october.
I have a big issue CPU related.
System specs:
AMD FX 6300 Black Edition @ 3.5Ghz
Radeon Saphire pulse rx 580 8gb
16gb ram
My cpu is going to struggle with only 3 cores and old hardware. Is it worth upgrading to an amd fx 9370 or 8350? Since i really want to play forza at decent settings, 1080p 😛 Im on a bit of a budget.

Most definitely will not support any 9000 series cpu. And with that weak VRM setup could struggle with an 8350 aswell(VRM throttling is a real possibility).

WHOLEHEARTEDLY agree - spending money on upgrading a CPU for the AM3/AM3+ platform is the worst bang-for-buck you can get.

Even a mid-level Coffee Lake or Ryzen will easily outdo any AM3+ CPU.

Yep, I'd also suggest holding off and going for a full CPU/MB/RAM upgrade later, when you can afford it, but be aware there's a lot going on ATM and the entire ball park will look very different come Christmas.

You should read a review or two before you look at upgrading.

Not a lot of FPS difference here and it's pretty tittle dependant at that, you won't lose fps but you are not guaranteed to gain. The 9XXX line was a waste of money, you got on par performance to an overclocked 8XXX line with added heat and power usage. Quite frankly you could move to a i3 6100/7100/8100 and gain 10 or more fps over the best AM3+ had to offer. It's fairly easy to find a CPU/MB/RAM combo for early LGA1151 for less than $200 that would offer a noticeable FPS increase.
