Hi, i am planning to play games like bf4 and watch dogs in ultra, what will be the best choice? The 8-cored fx-9370 or the 4-cored i7-4770k.

Solution
Lots of good answers here. For a mostly gaming rig, get an Intel Haswell I5 K series. Haswell is the newest available architecture from Intel, is faster at stock than Ivy Bridge, the K series is unlocked, and Intel kills in single threaded apps. The I7 series is an awesome cpu, but you will also pay more for that awesomeness and not see a lot of benefit from its hyper-threading in games. Use the money you save toward a high end GPU. On a side note, as others have mentioned, the I5 4690K is out and available for the same about the same price as the I5 4670K and the 4690 is slightly faster and should be a potentially better overclocker. And unless you get a smoking deal somewhere on an older 4670K, and I don't see any big price...
4770K will. BF4 only really utilizes 4 cores, the rest kind of, but not as much. The Core i7 has better single-threaded performance. I had an 8320 at 4.5 GHz (essentially a little better than a 9370) and not with my 4770K, I get over 30% better framerates, and better scaling.

Make sure you also get a Z97 chipset motherboard if you decide on the 4690K or 4790K. If you find a smoking deal on 4670K or 4770K, get a Z87 chipset motherboard.
