FX cooler on fm2 socket

Hello!

Yeasterday i did put together a comp for my mom and it uses the A10-6800k apu and the heatsink that came with it is really small and peformes really poor.

And i have a extra unused cooler from my fx-8350 so can i use that and put it on the fm2 socket? aslong as the ram does not get in the way?

It uses a matx gigabyte board but the settings that you put it in with are the same so the cooler from fx line up should fit on the fm2 right?

It will fit and it's a very good idea.

Yes, it will fit and keep the A10-6800K quite a bit cooler.
Unfortunately, it can be quite a bit louder as the fan speed is thermally controlled (when case air temperatures rise, so does the fan speed).
If her case has plenty of ventilation you probably have nothing to worry about, but it is something to keep in mind.
