I just got a gtx 770 and i am having problems with the frames being very unstable and low into the 30-and 40s and im not even playing at 1080p. i have the latest driver installed and my cpu isnt overclocked its at the base 3.5 ghz. any info would be nice thank you in advance

Nvidia card dont use mantle drivers and i havent done a clean install yet

i thought using a higher resolution would lower frames

it seemed to help a little but i noticed when i used the graph of cpu and gpu usage im getting cpu spikes that cause the stuttering and drop in frames

yea i dont have my cpu overclock as i only have the stock cooler i planned on getting a hyper 212 evo its just i cant seem to get a steady 60 fps AA is turned off btw

Turn AA off, and don't go for ALL Ultra settings, tweak the settings a little, keep lighting low or medium, texture detail high but terrain detail Ultra, bring your FOV to 90, try running the game at 1600x900, but 1920x1080p should work fine too.

You didn't mentioned which processor do you have?. An i5 or i7 Haswell should have no problems controlling this game. I own an i5 Sandy Bridge and i get 70 FPS easily, tweak the settings a little. BF4 is a graphically demanding game, it eats your GPU and also your CPU. And turn Vsync off, at such high resolutions Vsync off won't annoy you, BF4 tolerates Vsync pretty awesomely.

it's in the title, a fx 6300

Oh, missed that bit i don't know how lol. I'm always up for Intel, i don't know why AMD's processor somehow somewhere appear weak.

Was this ever solved? I have the same cpu, fx6300, but with a GTX 760 by Nvidia. Plagued with low fps as well. I made my own thread, but was googling around.. The more I look, it seems that GTX doesnt like to play well with FX 6300 series. Just guessing, based off all the threads I am seeing.
