Who does better. I have a FX8320+970 Gaming Motherboard set up, but i just got this i5 and i want to know if i should sell the cpu+mobo for a mobo for the i5.
Depends on what you do with your rig, I would, yes, the 4670 will be better at basically everything than the 8320 (might be about a toss up on video rendering)
What are you using the system for?
If its for gaming or general use, the i5 would easily be a better processor.
The 8320 can take an edge in multithreaded tasks, but there arent many cases of this.

If it's a free CPU, I'd run the Intel route but as for buying? To me, 6-10 fps isn't worth the added cost.My games run a minimum of 48 fps and very often exceed 75.
i think the FX 8320 is a great choice especially when overclocked runs all my games fine games are getting more cpu dependant these days i would proberly overclock it to 4.00ghz or if you are not comfortable with it pay £20 more and get the FX 8350 this cpu does not suck as much as everyone thinks it does its great!

I've reached a steady overclock of 4.8 GHz and stayed with the 8320, as i already had a mobo and been using it, the other cpu didn't have anything and i would of had to sell my cpu and mobo to buy one for the Intel processor
