So I bought a new cooler to replace the stock one, but I'm getting up to 68C while playing and the CPU throttles to cool down, did I install it incorrectly or did I apply too much thermal paste ?

FX 8350 stock clock and Vcore, every function to save energy is off (BIOS) and a brand new Cooler Master Hyper TX3, case Corsair Graphite 230T 1 exhaust fan and 1 intake fan. I've seen other post for users of my particular combination (CPU and Cooler) and they are getting max 60C in heavy load !
Thanks !!

Hello,

TX3 was never meant to cool high-end CPUs, but you can help it trying to improve the airflow. Do as plaintuts suggested and, if no results, add another fan to the cooler. If the temps are still higher than 65-70C, change the cooler for at least a CM Hyper 212 EVO or a Thermalright True Spirit 120M. What are the ambient temperature?

The proper cooler mounting is to exhaust the hot air towards the back of the case.
