FX8350 NH-D14 high temps?!

hey guys, i have been having some trouble with my new NH-D14, its been running really hot.
the CPU socket temp (mobo socket) is idle at around 40ish degrees Celsius and package is idle at around 20-30 Degrees Celsius, when i run prime 95 even on 1.4v at 4ghz i get to temps of 64c socket temp and 55c on package.
i overclocked to 4.3GHZ and left my voltage and its stayed the same, but i was wondering if anyone has any idea's to the problem, i have already changed the thermal paste atleast 7 times, last 4 times i've watched youtube videos how to do it just incase i did it wrong, but each time getting the same results................
i was hoping to OC to something like 4.6ghz
if you can help me reach my goal without much hotter please let me know and also if you can help me cool it down a bit more that'd be even better

WTF 1.4V AT 4 GHZ U ARE FKING BURNING YOUR CHIP STOP IT

the 8350 known for making alot of heat .... i got one my self and i know it


second that 1.4v is crazy high even for 4.3 ghz ... most ships stay at 1.3500 v with 4.5 Ghz stable

for going further 4.5 ghz u need liquid cooling like nzxt kraken x60 or something that strong up to 4.7

from 4.7 to 5.1 u need a custom loop system for 1000 $ +



as i can see you already failing to oc please read some guides how to or u will end up burning your chip and no its not the thermal paste its normal the nh-d14 can't go highter than 4.5-4.6 for most people

While they are a bit high, they aren't as bad as you think. What are your cores running at? At 4.5GHz without CnQ I get similar temps.

Socket should stay below 70c and cores should stay under 62c.

Are you sure you are cleaning the surface of the CPU and cooler properly? What paste are you using?

The last thing I would look at is your case cooling.

At stock I had to run mine at 1.39V. He should be fine.
