I just got my new PC build up and running. 10700k, Z490 MSI Tomahawk and 32GB G.Skill TridentZ RGB 2x16 DDR4 3600. With XMP off memory is showing 2133 in BIOS. I can select XMP and boot to windows and it will run @ 3600. (windows hasnt crashed yet) but I have not tested for too long. However, when I go back into the BIOS with XMP enabled after about 30 seconds, the BIOS screen freezes and I cannot do anything. If I disable XMP, the BIOS does not freeze and works properly.

So I am guessing I need to manually configure the memory? What are the suggested settings for these?

try the default ram settings for ddr4 3600 and slow clock up from there

I manually set it to DDR4 3600 and 1.35v. And it locks up in BIOS. It will boot to windows and run fine. Just the BIOS locks up. Mouse disappears in BIOS and I have no keyboard function and the screen is locked. If I restore BIOS defaults, everything works as needed.

UPDATE: I was poking around the MSI forums and I read about similar issues as mine, not identical though. It seems those users are reporting that when they set their Ram to 3600 they get a BSOD. Some reported anything over 3200 it will happen.

So I manually set it to 3200 and 1.35 volts and it is working fine. I try 3600 1.35v and it locks. Some think it may be a BIOS issue that MSI will need to update.

Prior to this. I tested each stick individually and the issue still happened.
