Question G. Skill 3600 mhz on mobo that supports max 3466

Hey, i'd like to find out, if G. Skill Ram, selled as 3600 Mhz, 2x8, CL19 would work on AMD motherboards, that support up to 3466mhz ram.
(As i see in specs, most motherboards for AMD supports up to 3466 OC Memory, 3600 and above aren't on the list of supported frequencies)

• will it work on 3600?
• if not, will it work on 3466?

If i recall correctly, above of the 3200mhz you would need to set specific voltage at some level which can cause damage to the chip to achieve higher speed?

I run crucial 3600 ram at 3466 without issue on a MSI Mortar B450 board. There is typically an XMP profile associated with the RAM that gives you the diff frequency options. As long as your timings and voltage are as manufacturers spec and the ram is supported by the motherboard approved memory list, then it should be ok !
