hi everyone,
currently im running a mixed 2X2GB kingstons and another 4GB stick (dont remember the brand)
all running at 1333mhz and 1.5v. working just fine at a total of 8GB.

now i got myself a set of 4x4GB G.skills Ares kit, 1.5v 1333mhz and its not working,
when i put only one stick in, it seems like its working, (doesnt matter to which slot)
but when i try 2 sticks, 3 sticks and 4 - it doesnt.
when i boot the pc it gets stuck on MOBO image screen and will not progress to boot sequence and bios.
i have checked and doubled checked that the memory should theoreticly work this board.
maximum speed is 1333 unless overclocked. and voltage should be 1.5.
have any idea why its not working?

Solution
How old is that kit? The 4 GB module has 16 ICs: 8 on each side. Do the new modules have ICs on each side? Increasing voltage won't make high-density modules work on a socket 1156 motherboard; all you can achieve is damaging them.
Ive updated the bios to latest, same result. I put in 4 sticks. I dont hear a blip and i dont progress beyond this mobo screen.

And yrah, one stick works fine. More than one nope. Keep in mind im normally using 2x2 and another 4g stick and works just fine..

Please excuse me i was wrong, with one stick it only gets me to the windows load menu and then it gets atuck. Atleast i have a chance to show you how the bios recognizes the memory, ease see if you apot the problem.

And i thought it might be the voltage but ive tried auto and ive tried manually setting to 1.5 still no good. Windows crash.
