G.Skill 4GB@800mhz or 2GB@1066

hi,
i'm using Vista & XP 32bit.
i have a 64bit license but i'm going to save it for a new PC i'm gonna buy when the Nehalem will come out.
Both models are CL5, the price is 30$ difference.

what would be more benefitial?
more RAM size or faster ram?
CPU: e2200 2.2 @ 3.3 (300x11)
MB: Ep35-DS3
VGA: 8800GTS 512
Monitor: Dell 27" 1920 + Samsung 17" 1280.

I would go for the 4gigs. Don't know what your paying but here is the best of both and a better brand.

Up to 4gb it's amount that matters, beyond that, it's speed. If you don't have enough ram, the PC will use page file off hdd, which is far slower than any other part of your computer. This will lag down the whole system. 4gb would pretty much guarantee enough ram for the typical PC user, so beyond that, speed matters.

Agreed id go with the 4gb as well, espcially considering you have a low FSB CPU

If you're only running 1 application at a time and the applications that you do run don't use a lot of memory then maybe the faster memory. However, I can't come up with many situation like that so listen to what everyone else recommends and get more memory.

i didn't notice but for 10$ more it's a model of CL4.
so it 4GB 800mhz CL4 VS 2GB 1066 CL5.

about the FSB: i got this CPU coz it's the lowest that i can run at the highest.
it's 1/3 the price of e8200 & it runs faster than e8200 on stock.
i'm saying stock coz i use 1333fsb. i need a new PSU for OC it more.
i got 550W one.

with the new nehalem i'll get a 1000-1200W psu...
for now it's a very good PC.

You don't need a 1000-1200w psu. Power consumption trend is going down, not up.

Keep in mind it's not only wattage that matters. Difference in 12v rail(s) ampage ratings can make lower wattage powersupplies more stable than higher wattage ones, under realistic conditions.
