I am planning on building a pc, and I decided to go for a Ryzen build. My question is: Will a G.Skill Aegis DDR4 2400MHz be compatible with a B350 chipset motherboard?

Solution
Go to the board manufacturer's website and look up their RAM compatibility chart. This is the easiest way to find this information or you need to troll review sites for boards/RAM to see if others have used the same combination. If you are building an AMD Ryzen system, get faster RAM, 3200, if you can afford it as it will improve system performance....even if it takes a few BIOS updates for your board.

RAM compatibility is going to be specific to the board itself...not the chipset, not the manufacturer, only the board model. Expect those lists to change over time so what is not listed today might be tomorrow.

So, basically, all I have to pay attention to is the RAM speed compatibility?

Basically. You need to pick a board, go to the manufacture's website and look up the RAM compatibility for that board. Then pick the fastest RAM you can afford. Cross reference your choice(s) on Newegg or some similar site where you can find more RAM specs and possibly other users who have the same combination of board/RAM you are looking at.
